Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Vesper is a Bible reader application provided by Terronex. The service includes a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Lite and Pro) with additional features.

2. Accounts

To access Lite and Pro features, you must sign in using a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have parental consent.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Lite ($3.99/year) and Pro ($9.99/year) subscriptions are billed annually through Stripe.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

4. Bible Content

Vesper uses the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, which is in the public domain. The text is provided as-is for personal reading and study purposes.

5. AI Search

The AI-powered semantic search feature uses machine learning to find conceptually related verses. Results are generated algorithmically and should not be interpreted as theological guidance or doctrinal authority. The AI model runs locally in your browser.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create (bookmarks, highlights, notes). We store this content solely to provide the sync service. We do not access, read, or use your personal notes for any purpose other than delivering them back to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Engram file format for commercial use
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
• Redistribute the application or its data without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the service

8. Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The free tier reader functions offline once loaded. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice to registered users.

9. Limitation of Liability

Vesper is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Terronex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
